Choose your chamber
Where you start from
Every member belongs to one of two chambers. The chamber shapes who is in the room with you first — it does not limit what you can join.
Local Chamber
For members who grew up in Hong Kong and know it from the inside.
Members of the Local Chamber bring the city as it is lived — the districts, the languages, the shortcuts and the institutions. The chamber gives them a room of their own and a reason to open it to others.
Non-Local Chamber
For members who came to Hong Kong to study, work or settle.
Members of the Non-Local Chamber arrive with another city behind them. The chamber shortens the distance between arriving in Hong Kong and belonging to it.
The joint programme
Around four in ten events are joint.
Joint events are designed so that members actually meet across the two chambers rather than simply share a room. Seating, group sizes and formats are set with that single purpose.
The result is sustained contact between local and non-local members over a full membership year, not a single welcome night.
